This public holiday in our country is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of May in accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 157 of March 26, 1998.
Each modern state has its own symbols that express its political independence and independence, the history of formation and development, and national identity.
In accordance with Article 19 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the symbols of our country as a sovereign state are the State Flag, the State Emblem and the State Anthem.
The standard of the coat of arms and the Regulations on the flag were approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of June 7, 1995, based on the results of the republican referendum held on May 14, 1995, one of the issues of which was the establishment of state symbols.
