International Conference «Historical Memory: Great Victory won by Unity»

On June 14, 2022 Deputy Director of the Institute S. Leshchenko, Head of the Department of Prosecutor Work L. Zaytseva, Head of the Department of Judicial Work E. Novikova and Professor of the Department of Judicial Activity V. Khomich took part in the work of the International Conference «Historical Memory: Great Victory Won by Unity», the thematic section «Crimes Without a Statute of Limitations» held by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus.

Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus M. Voronin addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.

Attendees of the conference were informed about investigation of the criminal case on genocide of the Belarusian people, the study of archival documents. Essential results of scientific research were presented: genocide and genocidal crimes on the territory of Belarus in 1941-1945; the legal basis for the perpetuation of civilian victims of the Nazi genocide in the USSR and the BSSR; historical and legal aspects of the prosecution of Nazi criminals, etc.

The event was attended by representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, prosecutors of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia, employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, members of the diplomatic corps, as well as leading scientists from Belarus, Russia and Armenia.
