On April 23-25, 2024, the head of the library, chairman of the trade union bureau of the Institute, Natalya Savchenko, was trained at the Republican “Leadership School”, organized by the Fundamental Library of the BSU. The event was attended by directors, deputy directors and heads of structural divisions of libraries.
The first day started with a seminar “Best library practices”, which was organized on the basis of the National Library of Belarus. It was attended by a delegation from the Russian State Library for Youth, led by director Irina Mikhnova. Invited speakers shared their best practices and ideas for project activities. During a lively discussion, Belarusian and Russian colleagues exchanged useful experiences.
The second and third days of the School were devoted to the topic “Human Resources Management”. Alla Radkevich, coach, teacher at the Academy of Communications, Industry Personnel, RIVSH, career consultant, corporate psychologist, was invited as a moderator. The trainings were held in the mode of active involvement of participants in the discussion of issues of the evolution of the development of the workforce, the role of the manager in the organization, psychological practices of staff motivation, methods of team building and time management.
